Show Notes

How a mysterious debilitating illness created a human foundation for breakthrough conversations in research and innovation. When she was 23, a colleague pointed out to her that it was not normal to feel sick each morning in the office. After years of denying her own pain because she learned not to complain, she discovered ways to relieve this mysterious pain and to share her own physical vulnerability in the workplace. In this episode, we explore the psychological aspect of chronic physical pain, the importance of meaningful work on the healing process and how bringing up things that are not often talked about in the office like emotions, needs and vulnerabilities actually is a catalyst for new ideas and stronger collaboration.
